ICSE

The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) is an examination conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations.

It is a private, non-governmental board of school education in India, for grade 10.

The Indian School Certificate Examination (grade 12) is an examination, through the medium of English, designed in accordance with the recommendations of the New Education Policy 1986, after a two-year course of studies beyond the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (grade 10) examination or its equivalent examination.

  • The core subjects include English, Tamil, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, Social sciences, Computer science and SUPW.
  • Project work, assignments, and activity based learning are given ample importance. These aid to sustain concept clarity as each student works in close association with teachers.
  • Age appropriate home based activities are assigned regularly.
  • Periodic assessments designed to evaluate student’s strengths and weaknesses are conducted according to the schedule.
  • Books are retained at school to facilitate personal time at home.
  • Students are prepared for the transition from primary to the high school.
  • Core subjects include English, Tamil, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History and civics, Geography, Computer science, Mathematics and SUPW.
  • Academic year is divided into 3 terms with an examination at the end of each term.
  • Students are encouraged to carry their text books home for further preparation.
  • Students are prepared to appear for the ICSE examinations.
  • Whilst the primary focus of this module is academic excellence, the school also ensures that students lead a well balanced life with enough sport, co-curricular and SUPW activities.
  • At the end of grade 10, the students will be granted the ICSE qualification which is recognised by universities worldwide.
  • The course will commence in the academic year 2016-2017.
