Montessori educational approach was developed by Dr.Maria Montessori and is characterised by an emphasis on independence, freedom within limits and respect for a child's natural psychological, physical and social development. At K'sirs Montessori children between the age of 2.5-6 years are groomed in environments named after local birds and are mentored by AMI trained Montessori directress and two assistant directresses .

K'sirs offers the Cambridge International Examinations which is a part of the University of Cambridge. Cambridge programmes and qualifications for 5-19 year olds prepare our students for life, helping them develop an informed curiosity and a lasting passion for learning.

Cambridge International AS and A levels focus on equipping learners with the skills they need to succeed at universities and with employers worldwide.



Primary school Grades 1-5

K'sirs offers the Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP) which provides a flexible curriculum and sets learning objectives in English, Mathematics and Science skills for each year of primary education.

Middle School Grades 6-8

K'sirs offers the Cambridge Secondary 1, which builds on the foundations of the Cambridge Primary. The programme provides a flexible curriculum with integrated assessments.

Typically for 11-14 year old, Cambridge Secondary 1 develops learners skill and understanding in Mathematics, English and Science for the first three years of secondary education.

High School Grades 9&10

Cambridge secondary 2 is typically for learners aged 14-16 years and uses learner centred and enquiry based approaches to learning.

At the end of Cambridge secondary 2, learners gain Cambridge IGCSE qualifications which is recognised by universities and employers worldwide as equivalent to UK General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE). Assessment takes place at the end of the course.

Higher Secondary School Grades 11&12

Cambridge Advanced level includes Cambridge International AS and A level which focuses on quipping learners with the skills they need to succeed at universities and employers world wide.

The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) is an examination conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations.

It is a private, non-governmental board of school education in India, for grade 10.

The Indian School Certificate Examination (grade 12) is an examination, through the medium of English, designed in accordance with the recommendations of the New Education Policy 1986, after a two-year course of studies beyond the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (grade 10) examination or its equivalent examination.



Primary school Grades 1-5

The core subjects include English, Tamil, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, Social sciences, Computer science and SUPW.

Project work, assignments, and activity based learning are given ample importance. These aid to sustain concept clarity as each student works in close association with teachers.

Age appropriate home based activities are assigned regularly.

Periodic assessments designed to evaluate student's strengths and weaknesses are conducted according to the schedule.

Books are retained at school to facilitate personal time at home.

Middle School Grades 6-8

Students are prepared for the transition from primary to the high school.

Core subjects include English, Tamil, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History and civics, Geography, Computer science, Mathematics and SUPW.

Academic year is divided into 3 terms with an examination at the end of each term.

Students are encouraged to carry their text books home for further preparation.

High School Grades 9&10

Students are prepared to appear for the ICSE examinations.

Whilst the primary focus of this module is academic excellence, the school also ensures that students lead a well balanced life with enough sport, co-curricular and SUPW activities.

At the end of grade 10, the students will be granted the ICSE qualification which is recognised by universities worldwide.

Higher Secondary School Grades 11&12

The course will commence in the academic year 2016-2017.
